The Plan
Purchase a yearling filly at the September sales. Give it our favorite disc golf themed name like "Anne Hyzer". Fit our jockey with disc golf silks and share it with the disc golf community as the "Disc Golfer's horse. Hopefully our horse has success, and maybe we make a little money while we are having fun.
Investing in a filly is less risky and we'll have more options with her. Even if she doesn't make it to the racetrack, a filly will still have value as a broodmare. If she is successful racing, then her value as a broodmare goes way up. If we can get real lucky and she runs in stakes level races and places, she'll be worth $100k+ minimum as a broodmare.
Meet the Team
Kevin McCoy and our boss Desiree DeVries who is owner of Trilogy Racing. Desiree resides in Versailles Kentucky, the horse capital of the world, at the Trilogy farm that stables up to 50 horses at a time. Desiree has over 30 years in the equine industry and will be home base for our filly. Desiree is our expert and she has the connections with the top trainers that we will need to have a chance at a successful endeavor,
My experience in racing has came from the rail as a player. I got a taste of fractional ownership by purchasing a share of Authentic, who went on to win the 2020 Kentucky Derby, Breeders Cup Classic, and was named Horse of the Year. After meeting Desiree through the Authentic group, we have partnered on other horses and become good friends. She's been kind enough to share her knowledge and her experience with Trilogy Racing to help form a disc golf group.
What to expect
We welcome the opportunity to partner with investors, both seasoned and new. You will be regularly informed about all aspects of our horses training and racing. We will keep you updated on our financial reports provide details about our horses’ costs and earnings. As a member of our team, you will always be updated about news of our filly's workouts from the trainer. On race days you can enjoy watching our horse with ownership privileges, with stable and paddock access, you can interact with our horse, partners, jockeys and trainers. If our horse wins, we get our picture taken in the winners circle and split the winnings. We look forward to creating long lasting relationships with investors across the country.
The Cost
We are offering 5%* shares at $5,000
all bills paid through September of 2024
(Monthly billing $225-$250) 2025
*5% ownership qualifies you to get an owners license, which comes with perks when you attend the races.
